Senior Officer – Knowledge Management, MIS and Reporting

The Opportunity

The Senior Officer- Knowledge Management, MIS, and Reporting will support the implementation and coordination of the ECHO HIP-funded Scaling up Multi-Hazard Anticipatory Action (SURAKKHA) project under the supervision of the Manager – Resilience and Anticipatory Action, ensuring quality delivery and compliance with ECHO and organizational standards across the Chattogram Hill Tracts (Chattogram, Rangamati, Khagrachari, and Bandarban). The role will lead monitoring, data management, and reporting functions, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of project indicators in line with the MEAL framework. S/he will oversee MIS systems, strengthen data quality assurance, and build partner capacity to ensure consistent and reliable data collection, analysis, and reporting.

The position will be responsible for high-quality donor and internal reporting aligned with ECHO HIP requirements, while supporting performance and budget tracking. It will also drive documentation, knowledge management, and learning to generate evidence, capture best practices, and inform adaptive programming. In addition, the Senior Officer will lead branding and visibility efforts in line with ECHO communication guidelines, including content development, documentation, and early warning communication materials, ensuring effective visibility of project results. The role will be engaged with implementing partners, government stakeholders, and coordination platforms to support information sharing and alignment.

The position will ensure close coordination and regular communication with the Consortium Manager and the MEAL focal of the Rohingya Response Team based in Cox’s Bazar, promoting harmonization of MEAL systems, reporting quality, and cross-program learning. The role will also contribute to knowledge sharing through platforms such as the Anticipation Hub and remain responsive to organizational priorities such as reporting in PRIME, including emergency preparedness and response.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in MIS/reporting/documentation
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian architecture and key drivers of DRR, CCA, Anticipatory Action, emergency response, and social development programming is preferred
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and high-quality documents.
  • Strong documentation and content development skills, including case study writing, interviews, story collection, photography, videography, and audiovisual storytelling.
  • Practical knowledge of audiovisual production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Proficiency in design, editing, and content production tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Canva, DaVinci Resolve, and Microsoft Office applications (including Power BI tools).
  • Ability to analyze policies and develop persuasive advocacy, communication, and visibility materials.
  • Experience in digital communication, content creation, and audiovisual documentation for advocacy and programme visibility.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to work with diverse partners and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote knowledge sharing, teamwork, innovation, and coordination across projects and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of budget and financial management related to programme implementation and reporting.
  • Excellent coordination, process facilitation, and organizational skills with strong attention to quality and detail.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications and related analytical tools.
  • Master’s degree, preferably in Disaster/Crisis Management, Development Studies, Mass Communication, International Relations, Social Science, Economics, or relevant discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a professional certification in Humanitarian, Anticipatory, DRR activities.
