The Opportunity

The Officer - Immunization is responsible for overseeing immunization activities at Save the Children’s Health operations in Cox’s Bazar Child Hospital.  This includes delivering high-quality EPI services to the assigned population, ensuring proper vaccine storage and handling, maintaining accurate records.  The role also involves collaborating with health teams to ensure coverage and prevent vaccine-preventable diseases among community. The position also will be responsible for laboratory testing, maintain quality assurance, supervise the laboratory assistant, ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) compliance, and maintain accurate records and reporting systems. Additionally, the incumbent coordinates with government immunization teams, supports SCI health programs in the targeted community, and engages with other humanitarian actors and local authorities to ensure the effective implementation of vaccination activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a similar position
  • Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory), B.Sc. in Health Technology (Laboratory) or Similar discipline with valid registration under State Medical Faculty in Bangladesh
  • Proven ability to train and coach staff
  • Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions
  • Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay in the field
  • Commitment to and understanding Save the Children’s aims, values, and principles
  • Demonstrable ability in report writing and excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
