1. Introduction to Girls Not Brides 

Girls Not Brides is a global partnership working to end child marriage and ensure every girl can shape her own future. Since 2011, we have brought together more than 1,400 organisations in nearly 100 countries, united by one goal: to end child, early and forced marriages and unions everywhere. We envision a world without child marriage, where girls in all their diversity decide if, when and whom to marry, and where their rights and futures are fully realised. In 2025, one in five girls were married before the age of 18; by 2030, our ambition is to help reduce this to one in seven.

2.About the GNB Bangladesh Coalition

Founded in 2013, the Girls Not Brides (GNB) Bangladesh Coalition brings together approximately 30 national and international non-governmental and civil society organisations committed to ending child marriage and advancing the rights and empowerment of girls. The Coalition provides a platform for members to coordinate advocacy, strengthen collective action, share knowledge and learning, and build strategic partnerships. Through these efforts, the Coalition seeks to influence policies and practices, strengthen accountability among duty bearers, and contribute to sustained progress towards ending child marriage in Bangladesh.

3.Introduction to the Role

1.Role purpose

• The Coalition Programme Manager (CPM) will provide strategic and operational leadership, as well as coordination support to advance the coalition's influencing agenda, strengthen collective action, and accelerate progress towards ending child marriage.
• Working with coalition governance structures which includes the secretariat, member organisations, and the steering committee, the CPM will translate agreed upon influencing priorities into coordinated programmes, measurable results and sustained policy and social change.
• The CPM will contribute to strengthen the coalition governance, member engagement, partnerships, sustainability and organisational capacity, while ensuring effective programme design, delivery, accountability and learning.

4.Key responsibilities

The Coalition Programme Manager (CPM) will provide strategic leadership, coordination and programme management to advance the coalition's influencing agenda, deliver coalition-led programmes supported by Girls Not Brides, and strengthen long-term effectiveness and sustainability.
