Background:

Nari Maitree is a Non-Government Women Development Organization established in 1983 by a group of Women activists in order to building up the capacity of women, adolescents and children of both rural and urban for establishing their rights in the family as well as in the society.  SEEP has been working in the urban context for many years with the most vulnerable and marginalized groups to improve their economic and social status by addressing the underlying issues/causes of extreme poverty.

Programme Background: 
Currently, Nari Maitree and SEEP are implementing a five years’ long (2023 to 2027) livelihood graduation programme in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) titled: “Urban Green Graduation Programme (UGGP)”. The programme's overall goal is to Urban Extreme Poor households can sustainably meet their basic needs and have improved coping strategies through strengthened livelihoods which place value on the natural environment. This programme is implementing with technical and financial support from Concern Worldwide and Irish Aid.

Nari Maitree is  leading this training and inviting brief narrative and financial proposal (3-5 pages max) from the qualified and committed Individual Trainer/training providing organization/ development professionals for the
“Team Building and Supportive Supervision” Training.

Purpose of the Training: The purpose of this training is to build the capacity of UGGP staff (Both Nari Maitree and SEEP) to foster effective teamwork, strengthen internal collaboration, and apply supportive supervision approaches that enhance staff performance, motivation, and well-being.

Objectives the Training:
Overall Objective:
To strengthen team cohesion and supportive supervision practices among UGGP staff for improved programme performance.

Specific Objectives:

  • Enhance understanding of team dynamics and collaborative working approaches
  • Build skills in supportive supervision, including coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback
  • Improve internal communication; Transition from "Boss" to "Coach"; Conflict Resolution Feedback and coordination mechanisms
  • Strengthen capacity to manage conflict and workplace challenges
  • Promote trust, accountability; staff motivation and wellbeing
  • Develop practical strategies for performance management and staff support

Target Participants
Graduation Mentors, Supervisors, Monitoring Officers and relevant UGGP staff (Total: 25–27 participants) per batch (Total two batches)

Scope of Work

The selected trainer/organization will design and deliver a 3-day structured training programme covering team building, supportive supervision, coaching, mentoring, communication, conflict resolution, and staff motivation.

The trainer will prepare session plans, training materials, pre- and post-tests, and facilitate participatory sessions.

A comprehensive training report with participant feedback and recommendations must be submitted within 5 working days after completion. Certificates must be provided.

Methodology

The training should apply participatory and experiential learning approaches including group exercises, role plays, case studies, and reflection sessions.

The Major Responsibilities and other related conditions:

  1. Provide a basic 3-days long training for the 54-56 staff (into 2 batches) per batch for understanding on team and supersession issues in workplace and in the programme.
  2. Deliver the Team Building and Supportive Supervision training to Graduation Mentor, Supervisor and Monitoring officer. The training sessions should be interactive, participatory, and including demonstration in the training. 
  3. Prepare session plan, schedule, pre-test, post-test questionnaire, training completion reports, including participant feedback, evaluation results, and recommendations for future capacity-building initiatives.
  4. Provide a Certification (designed template) after completion of the training (printing responsibility by Nari Maitree).
  5. The trainer or training provider organization will propose only the financial remuneration/fee, which should include local transportation. All other responsibilities related to the training—such as venue rental, provision of snacks (morning and afternoon), lunch, and all training materials including IT equipment (e.g., projector, sound system, training material, printing etc.)—will be managed by Nari Maitree."
  6. The training must be completed by 15th September, 2026 (Working Days). A summary report should be submitted within five working days after the training concludes. The final payment will be made upon receipt of this report.
  7.  The training venue will be located within the area is Dhaka
  8. The trainer/facilitator team should be formed with a strong focus on communication expertise and sensitivity targeting team and supervision.
  9. The trainer/facilitator all trainers must comply with Nari Maitree safeguarding and PSEA policies.
  10. Payment Modality: Nari Maitree will enter into an agreement with the selected trainer or organization, and payments will be made as per the terms outlined in the agreement. Note: NM will deduct the vat and tax as per government policy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognized degree in Anthropology/social work/sociology or a related field have master's degree.
  • Minimum of 05 years of experience in Team Building, Staff management and Supervision relevant training programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of Communication and leadership management and Practices.
  • Strong facilitation and training skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of participants.
  • Experience in the design of interactive and experiential learning activities.
  • Familiarity with the humanitarian and development sectors in Bangladesh, including the facilitation support needs of different target groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Bengali (both written and spoken).
  • Prior experience in conducting training evaluations and producing high-quality training reports.
