Buy-Side Research Analyst Investment Research & Corporate Advisory

LankaBangla Asset Management Company Limited (LBAMCL), one of Bangladesh's leading asset management companies, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join its Research & Fund Management team as a Buy-Side Research Analyst.

The successful candidate will contribute to investment decision-making through rigorous fundamental research, financial modeling, company valuation, and market analysis while also supporting selected corporate advisory engagements.

This role offers direct exposure to research driven portfolio management, institutional investing, capital markets, and corporate finance transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Research & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of listed and pre-IPO companies across multiple sectors.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation models (DCF, Trading Comparables, Transaction Comparables, NAV, etc.).
• Generate actionable investment recommendations for investment committee.
  
• Monitor market developments, macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and company-specific events.
  
• Prepare investment notes, sector reports, earnings reviews, and thematic research reports.

Corporate Advisory & Capital Markets

• Assist in transaction advisory assignments, including mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, private placements, IPOs, and strategic advisory engagements.
  
• Conduct financial due diligence and business valuation exercises.
  
• Prepare investment memorandums, pitch books, board presentations, and information memorandums.
  
• Support client meetings, management discussions, and investor presentations.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Interact with company management teams, investor relations professionals, regulators, brokers, and industry experts.
  
• Participate in earnings calls, analyst briefings, industry conferences, and company visits.
  
• Build and maintain databases covering sectors, companies, and macroeconomic indicators.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• A graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed university.
  
• Candidates actively pursuing CFA Charter will be given preference.
  
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in equity research and corporate advisory.
  
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, financial modeling, valuation, and capital markets.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
