| Evaluation criteria |
Legal entities and due diligence set by the project will be considered as go or no-go criteria. Alongside the above, the organization's capacity (20%), technical capability (60%) and financial capability (20%) will be assessed by a review committee. |
PROJECT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES
CIMMYT, under the CGIAR Scaling for Impact (S4I) initiative, is implementing an intervention to accelerate the adoption and scaling of mechanized rice transplanting in Bangladesh through sustainable market systems approaches driven by public and private sector partnerships. The initiative focuses on strengthening the ecosystem for Rice Seedling Entrepreneurs and Rice Transplanter Machinery Service Providers (MSPs), improving farmers’ access to quality mechanization services, enhancing climate resilience, and creating inclusive income and livelihood opportunities.
To support effective implementation and scaling, CIMMYT invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified organizations, private companies, financial institutions, digital service providers, regional seed companies, and innovation platforms to collaborate in delivering specialized training and capacitybuilding services for Rice Seedling Entrepreneurs and Rice Transplanter MSPs in the project areas.

SCOPE OF WORK
Training services for the rice seedling entrepreneurs and MSPs on below categories:
- Financial Literacy and Access to Finance (A2F)
Strengthening financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills, and access to finance for Rice Seedling Entrepreneurs and Rice Transplanter MSPs.
- Digital Capacity Building and Smart Advisory Services
Enhancing farmer and MSP capacity through digital learning platforms, smart advisory systems, and ICT-enabled extension services.
- Locally Developed Innovation and Capacity Building Solutions
Promoting locally adapted innovations, practical training approaches, and inclusive service delivery models for mechanized rice transplanting.
