The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. GIZ has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under bilateral agreement. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, textile and leather sector, biodiversity, as well as good governance, displacement, and migration.
GIZ is inviting Expressions of Interest (EoI) from qualified consulting firms to support the project “Skills Development for Sustainable Energy Solutions (Skills4SE)”.
The assignment aims to enhance employment linkages, visibility, and communication of results of the Skills4SE project by organising a Green Skills Job Fair and delivering high-quality multimedia and communication outputs. It seeks to connect graduates who completed training on topics related to Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) with industry, while showcasing project achievements and impacts through engaging and accessible content.
The selected consulting firm will support GIZ in the following areas:
- Planning, organising, and implementing a large-scale Green Skills Job Fair, including concept development, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and on-site management
- Engaging private sector companies, industry associations, and training institutes to ensure meaningful participation and facilitate employer–candidate interactions, particularly in RE and EE sectors
- Designing and implementing targeted outreach and communication campaigns, including digital marketing, media engagement, and participant mobilisation
- Producing high-quality multimedia content, including a documentary, short videos, reels, and professional photography, covering project interventions, events, and outcomes
- Developing human-centered communication materials such as success stories and feature videos that highlight the impact of RE and EE skills development on individuals and institutions
- Ensuring integration of gender equality and social inclusion considerations across event design and communication outputs, and collecting and reporting participation and outcome data
- Documenting key results, including event outcomes, stakeholder engagement, and communication reach, and preparing comprehensive reports for knowledge sharing and visibility
Interested companies must meet the following minimum qualification requirements:
- Evidence of commercial register entry.
- Minimum annual turnover of EUR 150,000 for each of the last three financial years.
- Average of at least 20 employees and managers over the last three calendar years.
- Completion of at least Three (3) reference projects related to communication, events, multimedia, storytelling, GESI, and monitoring & reporting for RE/EE/TVET platforms, each with a contract value of EUR 80,000 or above, globally.
- Completion of at least two (2) reference projects related to communication, events, multimedia, storytelling, GESI, and monitoring & reporting for RE/EE/TVET platforms, each with a contract value of EUR 80,000 or above, in Bangladesh.
Companies meeting the above requirements are requested to submit the following commercial documents demonstrating compliance with the stated minimum criteria:
- Valid Trade License
- TIN Certificate
- VAT/BIN Certificate
- Certificate of Incorporation, if applicable
- Annual Audit reports or bank statements for each of the last three financial years
- Company organogram showing the company structure and staff positions.
- Work orders/completion certificates for at least Three (3) relevant reference projects, each with a contract value of EUR 80,000 or above, as per the requirements mentioned above
