Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement.

GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of “Intern” for supporting in the area of Knowledge Management from candidates who are attending a course of further study of which the completion of an internship is an integral component or have graduated no more than six months before commencing the internship for Access to Justice for Women (A2J) project under ‘Governance’ cluster.

Contract Duration: Maximum Six Months

A. Responsibilities:

  • Support in desk research, studies, data management, and data analysis  
  • Documentation of the different events, meetings, workshops, etc.
  • Assist the team in developing different documents, case studies, reports, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Assist in internal monitoring processes and other quality assurance-related activities, etc.
  • Translating project-related documents from Bengali to English and vice versa

In this context, Intern will perform the following tasks:

The core scope of tasks:

  • Support migration of monitoring data from existing Excel files to the project’s web-based monitoring system, including data cleaning, organising, and verifying data.
  • Assist in entering, reviewing, and organising monitoring data and partner progress reports in the digital monitoring system.
  • Support to the project team for providing remote troubleshooting and basic technical support to training PNGO field-level staff on data entry and use of the monitoring system.
  • Assist in organising and maintaining project documents, reports, and knowledge materials.
  • Support in the preparation of presentations and reports for project activities.
  • Assist in organising and documenting workshops, training, meetings, and dialogues.
  • Perform any other tasks related to knowledge management, monitoring, documentation, and programme support as assigned.

Other duties/additional tasks

  • Assist all team members and undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected. 

C. Required qualifications, competences and experience

  • Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or other IT-relevant subjects

Other knowledge, additional competencies

  • Strong command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL would be preferred
  • Good Bengali and English writing skills
  • Ability to organise and analyse information and monitor data
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to gender equality and inclusion
  • Driven to learn, contribute, and take initiative

Learning Areas  

  • Understanding of access to justice approaches, including restorative justice, gender-sensitive dispute resolution, case management, and monitoring processes.
  • Familiarity with digital monitoring systems and knowledge management practices used in programme implementation.
  • Development of report writing, documentation, and basic data analysis skills.
