The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a global service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work to shape a future worth living around the world. As a public-benefit Federal Government organisation, GIZ supports the German Government, particularly the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implementing development projects. In Bangladesh, GIZ is implementing technical cooperation projects in the areas of energy, climate change, textile, and human rights under the bilateral agreement, signed on 15 July 1972 between the Bangladesh and German Governments.
This assignment is part of the project “Socio-Economic Assistance to Host and Displaced Communities in Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh”, commissioned by BMZ and implemented by GIZ from October 2023 to September 2027. In response to the multifaceted humanitarian context of Cox's Bazar, the SHADE project's overall goal is to identify and address the root causes of conflict and gender inequality, including GBV, while also increasing income-generating opportunities to support the livelihoods of host and Rohingya communities in targeted areas.
GBV prevention component (Output 3) of the SHADE project intends to prevent gender-based violence while also promoting gender equality in its target communities. SAHDE GBV components will emphasize strengthening and connecting groups of women to prevent GBV, and they will be supported in networking and collectively raising their voices against GBV. Therefore, the project focuses on establishing prevention working groups to amplify awareness to prevent GBV and assist survivors in accessing appropriate support. Output 3 activities include raising awareness about GBV prevention with capacity development of participants on Gender, Gender based violence, existing GBV trends & how to deal GBV disclosure within the location and the prevention mechanism.
In this context, GIZ is inviting bids from qualified reputable Bangladeshi firms for the assignment: “Event management services for GBV workshops”. Interested firms should demonstrate the following experiences:
- Proven experience in organizing training, workshops, seminars, or events, including venue arrangement and catering services.
- Experience working in Chittagong region, particularly in Teknaf (host communities), and in camp settings, with clear understanding of the local context and country specific guidelines.
- Previous experience in providing food delivery/catering services for events or training programs.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and arranging suitable training venues with necessary facilities such as seating, audio-visual equipment, and other logistics.
- Experience in providing services related to procurement and supply of training/workshop stationery.
- Working experience with INGOs and NGOs on event management of different stakeholders.

- Technical and methodological concept.
- Detailed CVs of the proposed experts.
- Reference project, showcasing experience working in Chittagong/Teknaf.
- All up-to-date Trade License and Tax Certificate (TIN, BIN)
