The Intern- Documentation and Online reporting will support the Multisectoral Alliance for Improved Nutrition (MAIN) project by assisting in information management, data quality assurance, reporting, dashboard management, and documentation activities. The intern will contribute to maintaining project databases, updating MIS trackers and dashboards, validating data, and supporting the preparation of programmatic and event reports related to nutrition, health, and multisectoral interventions. The position offers practical learning opportunities in Management Information Systems (MIS), reporting, and day to day digital data management within development programs. The intern will develop hands-on skills in data visualization, information management, reporting systems, and knowledge management while supporting evidence-based decision-making to improve nutrition outcomes in Bangladesh.


II. Responsibilities and Tasks:   % of Time
Responsibility # 1: Data Management and MIS Support 30%
  • Assist in collecting, entering, cleaning, and updating project data in MIS databases and reporting systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely submission from field teams.
  • Maintain digital and physical records of project information and documents.
  • Organize project databases, beneficiary records, and activity tracking systems.
 
Responsibility # 2: Monitoring and Reporting Support 20%
  • Support the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Generate routine data summaries, dashboards, tables, and charts for project monitoring.
  • Assist in tracking project indicators and target achievements.
  • Compile data and information required for program updates, presentations, and fact sheets.
  • Assist in preparing data summaries, tables, charts, and visualizations for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain organized records of reports, datasets, and supporting documents.
 
Responsibility # 3: Information Management Coordination 20%
  • Coordinate with frontline community level health service providers to ensure timely submission of data and reports.
  • Assist in managing information requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Support document archiving, knowledge management, and information-sharing initiatives.
  • Maintain organized digital repositories for reports, datasets, and reference materials.
  • Assist in maintaining a systematic filing and archiving system.
 
Responsibility 4: Learning and Innovation 10%
  • Support the documentation of best practices, success stories, case studies, and lessons learned.
  • Participate in capacity-building initiatives, training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities related to MEAL, information management, and reporting.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of health, nutrition, and multi-sectoral development programming, particularly in relation to the objectives of the Multi-sectoral Alliance for Improved Nutrition (MAIN) Project.
 
Responsibility # 5: Coordination and Administrative Support 15%
  • Coordinate with project staff to collect timely information and reports.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for surveys, assessments, trainings, and meetings.
  • Perform any other MIS- and documentation-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
 
Others responsibilities as assigned: 5%

V. Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Social Science, Economics, Development Studies, Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, Data Science, or related disciplines from a reputed University with a standard CGPA.
  • Training or coursework in data management, database systems, statistics, monitoring and evaluation, or information technology.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, KoboToolbox, ODK, SPSS, STATA, or similar data systems is preferred.
  • Previous internship, volunteer, research, or academic experience involving data management or reporting is preferred.

VI. Core Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and analyze data accurately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of database management and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of MEAL concepts and development-sector information management practices.

Monthly Stipend for Intern position will be BDT. 10,000.00.
