Ayesha Abed Foundation (AAF) serves as the production hub of Aarong, Bangladesh’s most popular lifestyle retail chain. Ayesha Abed passed away in 1981, and in 1982 her family established the Ayesha Abed Foundation to commemorate her memory and carry on with the work that she had started. AAF has been working on empowering rural artisans to rise above poverty by creating alternative livelihood options. The organization facilitates gathering and organizing both skilled and untrained artisans across the country and providing them with training and employment. Today, more than 25,000 artisans are involved in producing mainly textile crafts at 15 production centers, and more than 700 sub-centers of Ayesha Abed Foundation across Bangladesh.

  Position: Deputy Manager/ Manager, Printing and Dyeing

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize deep knowledge of reactive, disperse, acid, and pigment dyes along with dyeing and printing machinery
  • Supervise, train, and guide operators and technical staff across production centers
  • Coordinate with Design and Production teams to implement innovative ideas
  • Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all production centers
  • Manage digital color approval workflows to reduce lead time and ensure color consistency
  • Monitor and optimize chemical, water, and energy consumption to reduce operational costs
  • Establish centralized color recipe standards across production centers
  • Conduct periodic technical audits to ensure compliance with equipment and chemical safety standards
  • Track Right First Time (RFT) and Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE) across all locations
  • Manage and coordinate operations across multiple production centers from Head Office

Safeguarding Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
Qualifications:  
Education:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from any reputed university (preferably in B.Sc. in Textile Engineering/ Chemical Engineering)
Experience:
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in printing and dyeing operations
  • Experience in knit/woven composite industry preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong technical expertise in printing and dyeing processes, color matching, and fabric characteristics
  • Experience in process standardization across multiple production centers
  • Knowledge of digital color approval workflows and color recipe standardization
  • Experience in monitoring RFT, OEE, and production efficiency metrics
  • Demonstrated ability in chemical cost optimization and resource efficiency management
  • Experience conducting technical audits and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications
  • Ability to manage and coordinate operations across multiple production locations
