Job Description / Responsibility

  • The IT Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the effective management, maintenance, and security of information technology systems within an NGO. The position is responsible for supporting organizational operations through the provision of reliable IT infrastructure, technical assistance, and digital solutions that enhance program implementation and administrative efficiency.
  • The IT Officer oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software applications, networking equipment, internet connectivity, and communication systems. The officer provides technical support to staff members, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and ensures the uninterrupted operation of office technology resources.
  • In addition, the IT Officer is responsible for managing data security, system backups, antivirus protection, and user access controls to safeguard organizational information. The position supports the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures in compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards.
  • The IT Officer assists in maintaining databases, management information systems (MIS), and digital reporting platforms used for project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The officer may also support online training, virtual meetings, website management, cloud-based services, and digital communication tools to facilitate effective collaboration among staff, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Furthermore, the IT Officer conducts regular assessments of IT needs, recommends technology upgrades, and provides capacity-building training to staff on the use of software applications, cybersecurity awareness, and digital tools. The position ensures that all IT assets are properly inventoried, documented, and maintained according to organizational policies.
  • The IT Officer works closely with program, finance, administration, and management teams to ensure that technology resources effectively support the NGO's mission, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to the successful implementation of development and humanitarian projects.

Employment Status: FullTime

Educational Requirements

  • Master of Information & Communication Technology (MICT)
  • Students from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology will get preference

Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 5 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
  • Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

  • Age 25 to 35 years
  • Female Candidate will be given special consideration

Job Location: Cumilla (Cumilla Adarsha Sadar)

Salary: Tk. 20000 - 25000 (Monthly)
