1. Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited (APSCL) is an enterprise of Bangladesh Power Development Board. The Company is looking for an energetic and promising person for an immediate appointment to the post of Executive Director (Operation & Maintenance) and invites applications from Bangladeshi Nationals who are interested to serve the company and ready to accept the challenging job.

2. Job Description:

The Executive Director (Operation & Maintenance) is one of the members of the management of the Company who reports through the Managing Director to the Board of Directors. He is responsible for technical studies, engineering, construction, supervision, operation and maintenance of all the operational functioning facilities of the company. Other important tasks include technical forecasting in all respect regarding all electrical, mechanical and civil establishments, assessment of manpower requirement in technical sectors and development planning for technical manpower. He is also responsible for providing proper assistance to the Managing Director for ensuring a sound administrative environment among employees engaged in operation and maintenance of all generating units.

3. Educational Qualification and Requirement:

1. At least graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering from any recognized university/institute;
2. Candidates passed in the grading system must possess at least CGPA 3.5 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. Candidates passed in the conventional system (Class/Division) must possess at least 2nd class/division. No third Division/Class at any stage of the academic career shall be acceptable;
3. In case of Public Sector (GoB/ SOE's/Autonomous Bodies), the candidate should have at least 18 years of experience of which at least 3 years in a senior management position (National Pay Scales substantive grade 4 & above) in power sector:
4. In case of State-owned companies (SOCs) of the power sector, the candidate should have at least 18 years of experience, of which at least 3 years in a senior management position (DGM or equivalent & above) in power sector;
5. In case of private sector, the candidate should have at least 18 years of experience, of which 3 years in senior management/leadership position in well reputed organization(s) in power sector. Moreover, the candidate's experience certificate must include detailed job responsibilities authorized by competent authority;
6. At least 5 years of work experience in generation/transmission/distribution utilities:
7. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge about relevant Govt. rules & regulations;
8. Must demonstrate experience in operation & maintenance of power system and experience in public procurement etc.;
9. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in company law, labor law, Total Quality Management (TQM), Total Productive Management (TPM), Preventive Maintenance, Corporate Governance, Strategic Management etc.;
10. Must demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability and possess adequate knowledge in Corporate Management:
11. Able to express information, in both English and Bangla, to individuals or groups effectively; make clear and convincing presentations, write concisely, and convincingly for the intended audience:
12. Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of Procurement, strategic planning, and operational management:
13. Excellent negotiation skills with government agencies, development partners and private investors will be an advantage.

4. Age: Minimum: 45 years, Maximum: 60 years as on 16.04.2026.

5. Tenure of Appointment: The initial contract will be for 3 years subject to the maximum age limit of 65 years. It can be extended for two more terms of 3 years subject to the maximum age limit of 65 years in case of competent candidate.

6. Salary & Allowances: Basic pay Tk. 1,49,000/- (One lac forty-nine thousand only) per month
plus house rent, 2 (two) festival bonuses, Boishakhi allowance, gratuity, contributory provident fund, group insurance, leave encashment, reimbursement of medical expenses and other fringe benefits will be admissible as per Company's Rules/Policies/Provisions. He/ She will also be entitled to full-time transport with fuel and driver. Income tax shall be paid by the incumbent.
