In Bangladesh, Acted initiated its activities in 2018 to respond to the Rohingya Refugee Crisis in the following sectors: Site Management Support, NFI/LPG Distribution, Natural Resource Management, Information Management, Emergency Preparedness and Response, and Livelihood in the Kutupalong-Balukhali Expansion Site, Cox’s Bazar.

Key roles and responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Manage the IN & OUT processes in field warehouses and ensure efficient use of storage resources.
  • Ensure full compliance with stock management procedures in field warehouses.
  • Maintain the stock folder, ensuring all related documents are in place (e.g., Receipts, Waybills, Packing List, Stock Cards, Stock Out forms).
  • Assist with monthly stock checks/inventories in the camps and help reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Manage worker and their payment for Stock Load/upload.
  • Scan and archive all stock-related documents for accurate record-keeping.

Delivery Management

  • Track and follow up on all deliveries with suppliers, keeping the Operations Team informed accordingly.
  • Manage rental dump trucks and assign them for internal stock movement as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries and ensure Delivery Notes/Receipts are maintained.
  • Ensure adherence to all delivery management procedures.
  • Regularly update the Delivery Follow-up Template (DEL 03).

Distribution Support

  • Support loading and unloading of items during distribution activities.
  • Assist in preparing distribution kits according to approved BoQs and distribution lists.
  • Ensure beneficiaries’ items are handled carefully to avoid damage or loss.
  • Coordinate with distribution teams to ensure timely and orderly dispatch of items.

Monthly Logistics Report

  • Followed safety, security, and warehouse SOPs, including LPG-specific safety measures.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of LPG cylinders and accessories, respecting safety distances and guidelines.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near-misses immediately.
  • Adhere to Acted Code of Conduct, PSEA, and safeguarding policies at all times.

Coordination and Reporting

  • STO 02: Monthly Stock Inventory Report
  • AST-06: Monthly Inventory List by Building
  • DEL 03: Follow-up Delivery Report.

Others

  •  Any other task as assigned by the line manager.

Required qualifications and technical expertise

The candidate must have the following educational degree 

  • Minimum: Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Training in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain is an asset.

Selection Criteria

  • At least 1 year of experience in warehouse or logistics support, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
  • Experience in camp-based operations and distribution activities is an advantage.
  • Skilled in procurement, inventory management, and other logistics functions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal English and Bangla.
  • Fluence in Chittagonian Dialect
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments.
