  Position: Officer, Trims, Procurement
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to support the procurement and sourcing of various trims and accessories. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, managing procurement processes, monitoring supplier performance and deliveries, and supporting cost-saving and vendor development initiatives while ensuring timely availability of materials as per organizational requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the procurement of various Trims items as per organizational needs (Labels, Hangtags, Zippers, Buttons, Sewing Thread, Elastic, Ribbons, Packaging Accessories etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect and understand specifications and timelines.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Liaise with vendors for quotations, negotiation, and order confirmations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain procurement trackers, documentation, and reports.
  • Coordinate with the commercial, logistics, and inventory teams for order processing and delivery follow-up.
  • Assist in resolving procurement-related issues including delays, quality concerns, or policy compliance.
  • Participate in vendor development and market research activities.
  • Identify annual cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor MOQ and inventory levels to reduce excess stock.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
Qualifications:  
Education:
  • A bachelor's degree (preferably in Supply Chain/Operations Management/Textile or a related discipline) from any reputed University.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in procurement or sourcing of trims items.
  • Experience in the textile or fashion industry will be considered an added advantage.
Additional preferred skills:
  • Knowledge regarding local & international procurement procedures, vendor sourcing and development from international markets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of import operations, L/C management, commercial processes, and customs clearance.
  • Excellent negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with C&F agents and freight forwarders.
